The trail climbs steeply through Lion Rock Country Park from the Kowloon side, finishing with a short scramble to a rocky perch that looks straight down over the dense city grid to the harbour and Hong Kong Island beyond.

Getting there
From Wong Tai Sin or Diamond Hill MTR station, take a taxi or minibus up Sha Tin Pass Road to the Lion Rock Country Park entrance, where the trail begins.
Safety tips
The final approach to the summit outcrop involves a short, exposed scramble over smooth rock that becomes genuinely slippery when wet; skip it in rain or immediately after, and never climb onto the outer edges of the rock for a photo.
